Equestrian Artist Hana Case
Hana Case has always loved to draw and before she was school age, she was reprimanded a number of times for drawing all over the walls, books and family photos. She held art shows on the back porch with her younger sisters and most of the pictures displayed were of horses or equine activities. She believes there is something about horses that only other horse lovers understands. She boards her friend’s foundation Quarter Horses on her acreage in Texas since she had sold her horses in order to travel. To Hana, the new foal crop every spring is a great treat.
Hana is a realtor and has been in the business for the last 18 years and specializes in large acreage and ranches. She has a real estate license in Texas and New Mexico. Last summer while she was obtaining her New Mexico’s broker’s license she had some spare time to paint and she put some drawings and paintings in a gallery in Angel Fire, New Mexico and found people actually bought them. Since then, she has decided to devote more time to art.
Mike, her husband for 31 years, is also an artist and since he has retired he is spending his time producing art. He, at the moment, is doing a series on carousel horses that has a nice boldness which can be appreciated by horse lovers as well as antique collectors.
