Alyson has been drawing and painting horses ever since childhood, and growing up in the countryside of rural South Western Quebec, provided her with ample subjects.

Although she has pursued other interests, among them twelve years of study as a classical violinist and an honours degree in Philosophy, Alyson felt compelled to return to her first loves - art and horses. Her artistic training took place in Montreal, where she studied anatomical figure drawing, landscape and portraiture at Concordia University and at the Saidye Bronfman School of Fine Arts.

Alyson Champ, peintre professionnelle depuis 1994, prend goût aux sujets équins vers 1997. Peintre animalier, Alyson découvre très tôt un goût particulier pour le cheval. Son inspiration artistique enrichissante, elle la tire de son pays natal, à Howick dans le sud-ouest du Québec, où, depuis son enfance peint le cheval à huile et au crayon. Actuellement, sa perspective dans le domaine de l'art ne touche que la peinture, mais Alyson a aussi touché le violon classique pendant douze ans. Elle a fait ses études universitaires où elle a obtenu un diplôme en grande distinction dans le domaine de la philosohie. Suite à ses études, Alyson revient à ses premiers amours, à savoir, la peinture, touchant tout particulièrement le cheval. C'est à Montréal, à l'Université Concordia et à l'Ecole des Beaux-arts Saidye Bronfman, où elle parfairera dans les domaines anatomiques, portraitiste et paysagiste.
