This is a quick 30 minute sketch I did of my 3/4 arabian palomino mare
Champagne, or lovingly called The Yellamare. Like most artists who paint
commissioned portraits of other's animal companions, I have not yet painted
an official portrait of her. This is the first piece I have ever done of
this lovely mare, whom I love dearly. She refreshes my soul by just being
there. I have not had much time this past year to ride her, but going out to
visit her, groom her and feed her carrots is so very special to me.
