Raindance is my Missouri Foxtrotter mare, who is a wonderful model for painting white horses. I especially like it when I can get a backlit painting of her, and this one is no exception. Our new home and studio has huge pine trees that make a wonderful foil for the backdrop of a golden evening, and painting the colors of the white horse in shadow just gives me shivers of delight!
