For me, Louis the 14 1/2 (his expected adult size... not his ranking in royal succession) is very special. I first saw him for sale as a weanling while "window shopping" on a web site. I knew it was too soon to buy a horse, but in my mind I had decided that when I did, it would be a horse like him. He had it all: he was half arabian, he had a wonderful color, he was the right size, and he had a devilish twinkle in his eye. I considered it karma when almost a year later he was up for sale once more. I bought him sight unseen since he was in a different province, and I haven't regretted it for a moment. I look forward to our first rides this summer and to many more modeling sessions. I already have a list of painting waiting to be done in which he is the star.
