Equestrian Artist Kathleen Beesley

Kathleen is a largely self-taught artist. She loved art as a child, but for many years life took her in a different direction. She returned to art only a few years ago, and it is now her passion.

Kathleen works most comfortably in soft pastels and oil pastels which she uses for capturing the beauty and expression of her prefered subjects - horses. She also works in acrylic and watercolour.

Until now her work has focussed on the Lusitano horses of Portugal where she has lived for the past 17 years. Shortly, however, she will be moving to the UAE (United Arab Emerates) where she hopes to study and capture the nature of the Arab horse.
