Equestrian Artist Peggy Lindsay
Peggy Lindsay is a regional artist from Saskatchewan. Born and raised in the city of North Battleford, she has - in her own words - "always lived only a short walk from the things I love the most." This includes the Prairie Parkland, where you will often find her enjoying both her own pets and those animals indigenous to the area. It is here that Ms. Lindsay finds her inspiration for many of her pieces.
While Ms. Linday's work includes all types of animals, she has currently been concentrating her talents on depicting the Arabian horses that she has had a passion for since childhood. Not content to merely "paint a pretty picture", she has extensively studied the breed's bloodlines and genetics. Her thorough knowledge of both their character and physical traits captures the true essence of these magnificent animals!
Peggy accepts commissions for that special portrait, and also has cards and prints of her work available.
