Equestrian Artist Shirley Lawrence Bellows
As a horticulturist, an equine enthusiast and an avid breeder of championship purebred dogs, Shirley's art is enriched by many diverse perspectives making her one of Canada's most exciting new artists.
Her works have been exhibited throughout Southwestern Ontario and Southern Vancouver Island, and her commissions adorn the homes of proud owners.
Shirley works in a variety of mediums but pencil, pastel and watercolour are her favourites.
A life-long horsewoman, she had the joy of owning her 3/4 Arabian mare, Robin Bint Rabannezabez, for over 20 years. A native of Regina, Saskatchewan, she has lived in or near London, Ontario, most of her life. Following her husband's retirement in June, 2004, she has moved to beautiful Vancouver Island.
