More Dog Art 1

Heather Anderson became interested in dogs in a serious way when she was still a teenager and began studying breed histories, conformation, canine health, and training techniques. With the help of friends who owned a kennel she began showing her tri-color collie. During this time Heather started selling quick sketches of dogs at the shows. The years of showing and helping out at the kennel and listening to breeders and trainers have helped her understand not only the canine mind but the conformation, coat textures, and attitudes of the various breeds.

Today Heather brings her love of dogs to beautiful dog portraits and original dog paintings that capture the unique spirit and appearance of each individual dog. Heather accepts a limited number of commissioned dog portraits each year.
