Carving wax to create the tiny sculptures that are cast using the same lost wax process that is used on a much larger scale to create the larger bronzes has been an exciting learning curve. I am used to working in clay that is an additive as well as subtractive process, and the wax is totally subtractive as well as working with magnification because of the tiny size. Any of the pieces shown with turquoise are also available with other stones or plain. For centuries this shy, deep forest dweller was known only to the Pigmy of West Africa who hunted them.
