"Major" Trilogy or Dressing Major

The trilogy includes three versions of Major, a beautiful modern Belgian hitch gelding as he is readied for a show. It is based on the years of my then teenaged daughter helped several Michigan draft horse breeders at the fairs. Her favorite thing was decorating the hitch horses which she did by climbing onto the back of the first horse in the row of tie stalls, rolling his mane and braiding his tail in her own unique style, then hopping onto the next one, and so on down the line without ever getting down. Equine Madonnas

This is my favorite series! These are the pieces I do primarily for my own enjoyment. There is something so satisfying about portraying the maternal bond, regardless of breed. I am currently doing the draft horse breeds with each pair in the same relative size range, so they can easily be collected as a "herd". Each of these pairs is available free stranding or mounted on a base. I prefer the former as the feeling of the pieces changes when baby is moved in relation to mama.
